      Peace Direct is an international NGO which supports local people in some of the most challenging conflict environments worldwide. We support local people to stop violence by providing them with the support, skills, resources and voice needed to make peace a practical option.

      Local peacebuilders are the hidden heroes of wars and conflicts. Their bravery, combined with their local knowledge, connections and skills, can dissolve tensions, negotiate ceasefires and peace deals.

      Our strategy

      Our mission is to work in partnership with local peacebuilders and other allies like donors, policymakers and activists to shift power and resources for sustainable peace.

      Our people

      Our team is primarily based in London and Washington DC, but works with team members and partners across the world. All our staff work on a hybrid basis, with Fridays reserved for learning, development, and wellbeing.
